So, I start up this journal, then I go MIA for a week. Good plan, Ariana, really good plan. Though, if I may offer an excuse, I was devoting all of my spare time to finish my first draft of my novel. 200 pages of a murder mystery. I know what you're thinking, that's a pretty short murder mystery. It's not finished. That's about half, I think. One of my professors agreed to critique it, and I figured why not see if the first half was any good before finishing it. The ending depends on how the beginning goes, so if I have to rewrite the beginning, well, I'd have to rewrite the whole thing. May as well just do it in steps.

Other than that, life's been pretty quiet around here. My class is going well. Grades are good and the professor seems to like me, which is a plus.

I feel like I'm out of things to do with my summer already, and it's only half over. Anyone have any ideas?
